Jared Persinger, DDS
My profession means everything to me. I love being a dentist, not only for the technical challenges and rewards, but more so because I get to step into many people's lives every day and help them in a very specific way, doing something they can't possibly do for themselves. People feel better overall when they have a healthy mouth; it goes beyond individual teeth. No pain when eating and no embarrassment when talking or smiling is my goal for every patient. I get most excited when somebody comes to me with what they feel is an insurmountable amount of needs and we find a way to get their treatment done more easily then they imagined possible.
I feel truly honored that people come to our office and entrust us with their dental health. It is not something I take lightly and I promise that my team and I will work hard to earn your confidence and respect.
Education and Continuing Education
- Bachelor's in Chemistry (magna cum laude) – Butler University, Indianapolis, IN
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery (with TKO honors) – University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, San Francisco, CA
It is exciting to be a part of the technological advances in dentistry and to be able to help people improve their health. I strongly believe that it is essential for me and my team to remain up-to-date with the latest products, materials, and techniques in our field. I actively pursue continuing education courses, both locally and nationally, based on the improvements in services that can benefit my patients.

In the Community
I moved to Lacey/Olympia because I think it's one of the greatest places on earth. I love the people, the land, and even the weather! I want to make an impact here. We are happiest when our community is happy, and it's hard to be happy if you are in pain or can't smile! I'm active with the Olympia Union Gospel Mission free dental clinic and also work hard in their amazing annual fundraiser show along with a dozen or so other awesome local dentists. The 2015 fundraiser show will be in October, this year's theme is going to be based on Disney classics!
I've also spoken about dentistry in schools and nursing homes; it's a lot of fun and I'm always happy to do it (please inquire with me directly and we'll find a time)!
Outside the Office
When I’m not in the office, I love playing guitar, singing, disc golf, Ultimate Frisbee, comedy shows, and hiking/backpacking, especially in beautiful Western Washington.
I'm also really into local history and old maps of our area, as well as antique dental stuff. So if you have anything to teach me or show me, please do!
Thanks to our local blog Thurston Talk for interviewing me and writing this article, it was fun!
